- Problem
- Paying a credit card bill counted the same spending twice: once as purchases, again as the payment.
- Built
- An account model with transfer transactions and opening balances, so a bill payment moves money between accounts instead of adding a new expense.
- Learned
- Daily logging got slower, so I switched to tagging each expense with the card used. The simpler model is the one I keep up with.
